Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Pledr ("we," "us," "our") provides Legal MCP, a search tool that connects AI assistants to Supreme Court of India judgments. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information. When you sign in via Google or email (magic link), our authentication provider, WorkOS, shares your name and email address with us so we can identify your account.
  • Search queries and usage. We log the searches you run — including the query text, timestamp, and result count — so we can operate the service, enforce usage limits, and investigate issues.
  • We do not collect payment information during early access, since the service is currently free.

2. How we use your information

  • To operate and provide the search service you request
  • To authenticate you and maintain your account
  • To enforce fair-use limits (e.g. daily search quotas) and prevent abuse
  • To diagnose technical issues and improve retrieval quality
  • To communicate with you about your account or the service, using the email address you signed in with

3. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with the following service providers, solely to operate Pledr:

  • WorkOS — authentication (Google sign-in, magic-link email)
  • DeepInfra — processes your search query text to generate embeddings and rank results; query text is sent to DeepInfra's API for this purpose
  • Google Cloud Platform — hosts our servers and database
  • Cloudflare — provides our domain, network security, and traffic routing

Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy terms; we only send them what's necessary to provide the service.

4. Judgment data

The Supreme Court judgments, citations, and case metadata Pledr returns are public-domain government records, sourced from the Supreme Court of India's own official systems. They are not personal information about you.

5. AI-generated content

Search results include AI-generated summaries (issue/held/ratio) of judgments. These summaries are provided as a research aid only, may contain inaccuracies, and must always be verified against the source judgment before being relied upon in any legal work. Pledr does not provide legal advice.

6. Data retention

We retain account and usage data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 8).

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), authenticated access to the search service, and network-level access controls on our infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights and choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at support@pledr.in. We will respond within a reasonable time.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of Pledr after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
